Is Bing down right now?

No, it’s up.

Bing appears to be up and running normally.

checked responded in 119msHTTP 200

Over the last 7 days, Bing has answered our automated checks with 100.00% availability and a typical response time of ~93 ms. The most recent outage began 2026-10-29 04:47 UTC and lasted 15m (severity: degraded).

Bing is Microsoft's search engine, also supplying results to Copilot and other Microsoft surfaces. Web results, image search and the AI answer panel run as separate systems and fail apart.

Is Bing down for everyone or just you?

Our automated checks are reaching Bing normally right now, and it answered our last one in 119ms. That makes any trouble you are hitting more likely to be local to your connection, account or network than a full outage, which usually means you can fix it from your end.

What to do if Bing is down for just you

  • Try a different query before assuming the engine is down. A single query returning nothing is usually a filter or a spelling correction, not an outage.
  • Test in a private window. A corrupted preferences cookie can break results while the engine itself is fine.
  • Change your DNS resolver. Search domains are among the first things a failing resolver breaks, and it presents as the engine being unreachable.
  • Disable extensions one at a time. Ad blockers and privacy tools rewrite search pages heavily and are a common cause of blank results.
